Our client, a reputable independent commercial vehicle dealership in Tredegar, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team.   • Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • No weekend work required, with optional Saturday work paid as overtime
Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnose faults efficiently and accurately on light commercial and 4x4 vehicles
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards as a Vehicle Technician
  • Report vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance issues to the Workshop Controller
  • Adhere to health & safety and quality procedures at all times
  • Contribute to a team environment by sharing knowledge and mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • Ensure a high standard of workmanship in a busy franchise-approved dealership setting
  • Assist in achieving team targets and maintaining customer satisfaction
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (minimum)
  • At least 3 to 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • A committed, team-oriented individual with a ‘mentor mindset’ keen to share expertise
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • MOT certification is advantageous but not essential
