Our client, a reputable franchised main dealer group in Canterbury, Kent, is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional looking to develop their career within a well-established dealership. The Vehicle Technician role offers a supportive working environment, excellent earning potential, and ongoing professional development.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary up to £38,000, negotiable based on experience
  • Monthly bonus scheme with a minimum guaranteed bonus for the first 12 months, OTE £43,000
  • Fully paid overtime for Saturday shifts
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with 30 minutes lunch
  • 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance to high standards
  • Perform diagnostics and fault finding on a range of passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Complete work within specified timeframes ensuring quality workmanship
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out on vehicles
  • Participate in manufacturer training sessions and skill development courses
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols
  • Assist colleagues as required to sustain workshop efficiency
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or Engineer within the automotive retail sector
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT Testing licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong diagnostic and repair capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with a commitment to ongoing learning
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Right to work in the UK (please note, no sponsorship available)
