We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent garage and body repair centre situated on the outskirts of Northampton.

This is an excellent Vehicle Technician opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals looking to work in a friendly, stable environment where no two days are the same. Our client is committed to providing high-quality service across a broad range of vehicles, including prestige and specialist models.

Benefits:
  • Up to £40,000 basic salary depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours (8:00am – 5:00pm)

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
  • Conducting repairs on brakes, clutches, suspension, and timing components
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and assisting with inspections
  • Diagnosing faults using workshop equipment as a Vehicle Technician
  • Supporting occasional bodywork and structural repair tasks within the workshop
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, or extensive hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of workshop experience
  • Confident in routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and fault diagnosis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, practical, and customer-focused approach
  • MOT licence is desirable but not essential
