We are currently looking to recruit a Walsall PPP (Public and Private Partnership) Operations Manager to join our Extra Care team here at Housing 21.

Within the role you will provide the effective delivery of services under the terms of the Walsall PPP contract and lead a team of Extra Care Service Managers and a Regional Extra Care Manager across the Walsall Region. Ensuring our properties and services meet the demands of residents, commissioning authorities and contractual requirements.

Due to the nature of this role, there is a requirement for the successful applicant to have a strong knowledge of leading with contract management. A very strong knowledge of operational management and understanding of how Local Authority contracts work out. Managed multi-contact management.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • Knowledge of the regulatory and legislative frameworks for Housing and Social Care (Essential)
  • Contracts Management (Essential)
  • Experience across Housing and Care services of leading complex multi-site services (Essential)
  • Working within older people services and understanding the issues and needs of older people, those with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health (Essential)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirements to deliver high quality Housing and Care services, ideally within an Extra Care setting and Residential (Desirable)
  • Experience in the delivery of specialist contracts (PFI/PPP) through indirect or direct delivery (Desirable)
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions (Desirable)
