About the Warehouse Operative Position
We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative to take full ownership of the warehouse/stores department. You'll play a central part in keeping goods flowing accurately from receipt through to dispatch with real scope to make an impact from day one. The company is a well-established, international manufacturing business operating across multiple sites in the UK. They specialise in specialist industrial equipment and consumables, supplying a broad range of sectors. You'll be joining a structured, professional environment with a close-knit team.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders with a high level of accuracy
- Checking and maintaining stock levels and managing inventory data in the warehouse system
- Receipting incoming goods and processing the weekly main stock delivery, including unloading and put-away
- Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and organised to meet daily operational standards
What we're looking for
- Previous warehouse operative experience is essential, with a solid grasp of logistics workflows and safety requirements
- Comfortable using a warehouse management system (WMS) or digital data logging tools
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and hit dispatch deadlines
- A clear communicator, able to coordinate confidently with colleagues across departments
- Capable of precise manual handling tasks
