Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver

Job Description: Early Day Shift Warehouse Operative

Shift: 6:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)

Salary: £27000 to £29000 - per annum

Location: DPE Group, HP4 3TY

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Purpose of the Role

To ensure the safe, accurate, and timely handling of goods during daytime operations, including lorry loading/unloading, locker processing, and vehicle preparation. The role supports continuity across logistics flows and contributes to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and load inbound/outbound LGV’s & Hiab’s  
• Ensure correct and secure loading/unloading practices
• Check lockers/goods for damage
• Process, build and program lockers ready for installation
• Vehicle Preparation
• Support early morning dispatch readiness
• Pick and storage lockers in correct areas
• Maintain clear and safe bay areas throughout the shift
• Documentation & systems
• Collaborate with the warehouse manager and installation teams
• Assist colleagues when available and contribute to a respectful, fair team culture

Skills & Requirements

• Experience in warehouse or logistics operations (preferred)
• Valid forklift or MHE certification (desirable)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Willingness to support team and colleagues

Additional Notes

• PPE must be worn at all times
• Role includes physical tasks and prolonged standing and moving

Pay: £27500 to £29000 - per annum
