Partnership Recruiting are currently looking to speak to experienced Warehouse Supervisors with experience working within chemical, manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to add a Chemical Warehouse Supervisor to their existing operations team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all chemical warehouse activities, ensuring safe storage, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with all Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee all inbound and outbound chemical receipts, ensuring accurate stock control and inventory management.
· Supervise day-to-day warehouse activities including receiving, storing, packaging, and dispatching materials.
· Ensure chemicals and materials are stored and handled in accordance with company procedures and HSE regulations.
· Coordinate closely with Production, Operations, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to ensure materials are delivered in line with operational requirements.
· Carry out warehouse operations in line with all standard operating procedures and GMP standards.
· Monitor warehouse stock levels and provide regular inventory and physical count reports.
· Ensure all warehouse areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety.
· Support and enforce all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures within the warehouse environment.
· Ensure PPE requirements are adhered to and that all safety equipment is maintained and available.
· Complete and maintain all required warehouse documentation and daily paperwork accurately.
· Supervise and support warehouse staff, ensuring training and development plans are maintained.
· Prepare and manage SOPs and risk assessments for the warehouse operation.
· Monitor warehouse and logistics performance against operational plans and KPI targets.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and operational processes.
What we need from You
· Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Chemical Stores, or similar operational role.
· Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical, GMP, or industrial environment would be advantageous.
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and chemical handling requirements.
· Experience managing inventory, stock control, and warehouse operations.
· Ability to lead and support a small warehouse team effectively.
· Good communication and organisational skills.
· Comfortable completing operational paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
· Knowledge of SOPs, risk assessments, and compliance procedures.
· Forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential.
· Flexible and proactive approach to work.
