About the role
Are you a motivated leader with warehouse experience? Join us as a Warehouse Team Leader to organise, support, and develop our teams while ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organise, and coordinate the daily work of warehouse team members
- Provide the team with necessary tools and ensure smooth, efficient operations
- Support stock-taking and process optimisation activities.
- Maintain required standards for warehouse property, equipment, and materials
- Conduct team evaluations, training sessions, and safety briefings
- Supervise compliance with working time recording, work clothing, and PPE usage
- Allocate available team resources to meet daily order volumes and deadlines
- Provide coaching and training to staff, ensuring multi-skilling and development across the team and maintain morale. Promote a positive, team-focused working environment with a strong emphasis
- Oversee and ensure completion of general daily duties within allocated area
- Manage warehouse operatives and make sure they are meeting business expectations & report non-compliance via the appropriate channels
PPS (Pick, Pack & Ship)
- Conduct shift briefings, allocate tasks, and monitor progress throughout the shift.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
- Organise and process customer orders, including to customer specific requirements and ensure timely despatch of stock
- Assist with picking, packing, goods in and goods out processing as & when required
Inbound/Outbound
- Ensure deliveries are unloaded within given time scales and checked against purchase orders, reporting any errors to the parties concerned
- Control loading and unloading of all internal transfer and external goods
- Ensure accuracy when loading vehicles, maintaining safe load standards
- Load and unload vehicles in a safe manner using manual handling or forklift equipment
- Ensure Bay doors and Ramps are used in a safe and correct manner
Inventory
- Work closely with customer service and stock control to resolve order issues
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of stock and inventory records.
- Check orders after picking for accuracy advising warehouse staff of any errors to minimise future discrepancies
- Assisting with stock investigations and customer stock takes and process optimisation activities
