Warehouse Team Leader

M4 Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced, proactive and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader  on behalf of our Client based in Hemel Hempstead to support the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation in a fast-paced distribution environment.

This role is responsible for leading teams to achieve daily operational targets across goods handling, picking, dispatch, and general warehouse activities while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and housekeeping.

Salary;

£35,000 per annum working Monday to Friday 14.00 – 22.00

This is a temporary to permanent role.

Must have experience;

3+ years of experience in a warehouse/logistics leadership role.

Experience managing multi-shift warehouse operations (ideally day and night).

Strong understanding of warehouse operations, WMS, and PDI processes.

Knowledge of FMCG or high-volume distribution environments preferred.

Role responsibilities;

Plan daily workloads and resource deployment

Monitor progress against output targets and KPIs

Reassess priorities to ensure deadlines are met

Escalate resourcing shortfalls or operational risks to senior management

Skills & Competencies:

Effective leadership and team-building skills across multiple shifts.

Strong communication and handover management across day/night teams.

Comfortable using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.

Committed to safety, quality, and service excellence.
