About the Role
Recruitable Staffing are recruiting for a hands-on and proactive Warehouse Team Leader to support a busy warehouse and yard operation based in Redditch.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Warehouse Team Leader or Warehouse Supervisor experience who enjoys being operationally involved while also supporting and guiding a team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to help coordinate daily warehouse activity, manage inbound and outbound freight, support the team on the floor and ensure work is completed safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day warehouse and yard operation
- Support and guide warehouse operatives during the shift
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight
- Safely load, unload and move goods around the warehouse and yard
- Operate Counterbalance FLT as part of the daily operation
- Support warehouse duties including stock movement, scanning, labelling and housekeeping
- Liaise with transport teams, drivers and management
- Escalate any operational issues, damages or delays where required
- Complete equipment checks and report any defects
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
- Lead by example and promote a positive, hands-on team culture
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader role
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or yard environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Confident communicator with a hands-on approach
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety standards
- Reliable, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility during the shift
- Experience within pallet network operations, ideally Palletforce or similar
- Bendi or Flexi truck experience/licence
- Previous experience coordinating inbound and outbound freight
- Experience working closely with transport teams and drivers
- A solutions-focused approach with the ability to deal with issues quickly and professionally
- £14.45 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
