Our client, a well-established organisation in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Junior Claims Warranty Assessor to become a vital part of their expanding repairs team based in Reading, Berkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals with a background in automotive service or technical roles to progress their career within a dynamic environment. The Junior Claims Warranty Assessor will play a crucial part in assessing warranty repair requests, liaising with workshops and customers, and ensuring technical and procedural accuracy.

  • Up to £27,500 basic salary with a £34,100 OTE
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • One Saturday every four weeks, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Duties as the Junior Claims Warranty Assessor:
  • Assess warranty repair requests using our in-house software systems
  • Communicate with workshops and customers via telephone, email, and internal systems
  • Process inbound and outbound calls efficiently as the Junior Claims Warranty Assessor
  • Review diagnosis costs and causes for mechanical and electrical component failures
  • Verify parts and labour costs, sourcing refurbished or reconditioned parts when appropriate
  • Process customer contributions towards repairs
  • Ensure compliance with warranty cover levels and company procedures
  • Maintain GDPR compliance in all customer and company interactions
  • Support the team with additional duties as reasonably assigned
Requirements:
  • Automotive or mechanical background, e.g., service advisor, technician, engineer, or service technician
  • Proven experience in customer service with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures and claims processing
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and industry software
  • Ability to manage repairs efficiently and accurately as a Junior Claims Warranty Assessor
  • Organised, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive approach to delivering high standards of customer service
