What You'll Do:
As a Waste Collection Loader, you will play a vital role in ensuring our community stays clean and sustainable. Your responsibilities will include:
Team Collection: Work alongside a team to collect household waste for recycling and disposal within the Borough.
Public Assistance: Engage with the community in a friendly and helpful manner, assisting residents with their waste queries.
Promote Recycling: Help spread the word about our waste and recycling services by distributing informative literature.
Flexible Work: Be prepared to work in various areas or alongside different crews as directed by your supervisor.
Collaboration: Contribute to a first-class Waste Collection and Recycling service for the residents.
Training: Attend necessary training courses, which may include sessions outside of normal working hours.
Communication: Liaise with the Team Leader, keeping them informed about any issues that arise during your daily duties.
Leadership: Work with minimal supervision and guide lower-skilled team members when required.
Safety & Compliance: Handle heavy equipment safely while following manual handling regulations.
Environmental Stewardship: Report environmental issues (like graffiti or fly-tipping) to supervisors for prompt action.
Health & Safety: Ensure your own health, safety, and welfare, as well as that of your colleagues and the public, adhering to health and safety policies.
