Welder/Fabricator (Temp to Perm)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of steel components and assemblies to engineering drawings and customer specifications, ensuring work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel and bespoke metalwork.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials accurately.

• Working independently and as part of a production team to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Strong MIG welding skills (other welding processes advantageous).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Experience working with mild steel and structural steel components.

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.

• Relevant welding qualifications are desirable but not essential.
