Welder / Plater

Salary/Rate:

£17.33 - £23.11/hour + Overtime

Dayshift rate may apply for a very short duration, if they wish to train you on dayshifts for a week or two.

The role will be working on permanent nightshifts.

The Hours

• Monday – Thursday
• 20.00pm till 07.00am Nights, 4 nights only

• MTrec are currently recruiting for a highly successful engineering firm based in the Newton Aycliffe area. We are looking ideally for a time served plater with experience in heavy plating and welding however will consider highly skilled time served fabricators. 

The Jobs You’ll Do

• Following both basic engineering drawings and schematics
• Heavy plating of structural steel
• Creating frame works and beams
• Fabricating own bespoke units
• MIG welding of products 
• Marking off products and execute drawings 
• Using a range of Fabrication machines 
• Cutting, measuring and operating various machinery to shape products

About You;

• MUST be able to follow and interpret technical drawings 
• Must be able to work both individually for long period of time after training, and in a team.
• Should be comfortable working different shifts
• Should be time served with certifications.
