This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical control panel wireperson to join a well‑established UK engineering business delivering critical projects across energy, utilities, renewables, and manufacturing.
The role suits a hands‑on, detail‑focused individual who enjoys working as part of a wider assembly and test team, takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, and is flexible in supporting project deadlines.
Role
- Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels using schematic drawings
- Working to company standards, procedures, and quality requirements
- Completion of assembly record cards for traceability of serial‑numbered components
- Mechanical assembly of cubicles and frameworks
- Bench assembly of electrical sub‑assemblies
- Ensuring the quality of one's own work and completing rework where identified during test and inspection
- Updating electronic issue logs and working directly with design engineers
- Leading a production bay when required, with support from the production team leader
- Maintaining flexibility in working hours when needed to meet project deadlines
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ industry experience as a wireperson or panel wireperson
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
- Experience assembling electrical components of varying size and complexity
- Strong time‑management and ability to work to deadlines
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive, can‑do attitude
- Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance
