Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Workplace Host to join their Workplace Experience and Front of House teams. This role plays a key part in supporting client visits and shaping a welcoming, well-managed workplace environment that promotes wellbeing, productivity, and a positive company culture.
The Workplace Host will act as a visible and approachable presence across reception and the wider workplace. By delivering excellent customer service, supporting events and initiatives, and providing concierge-style assistance, the role contributes to creating a workplace that colleagues and guests enjoy being part of and want to return to.
Job Purpose / Overview
The Workplace Host is responsible for delivering a high-quality front-of-house and workplace experience for colleagues and visitors. The role focuses on providing a warm, professional welcome, responding effectively to enquiries, and supporting client visits with confidence and attention to detail.
Working flexibly between client reception and the wider workplace, the Workplace Host will build positive relationships, personalise experiences where possible, and support operational activity that enhances engagement, comfort, and overall workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome colleagues and visitors in person and via telephone, responding to enquiries promptly and professionally by email or referral
- Work flexibly between Client Reception and the wider workplace in line with business requirements
- Act as a main point of contact for colleagues on the floor and within the lobby, providing concierge-style support
- Support client visits by delivering a warm, professional, and engaging front-of-house experience
- Assist with customer service initiatives, workplace events, and activities that enhance the colleague experience
- Build positive relationships and capture guest and colleague preferences to help personalise future visits
- Support the Workplace Lead with operational decisions and processes that improve engagement and experience
- Maintain a high-quality workspace by sharing observations, notes, and feedback with strong attention to detail
Person Specification
- Previous experience within a corporate, hospitality, or customer service environment
- Ideally experienced in using systems such as MS Office
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Good time management skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Professional, customer-focused, and organised approach
- Approachable and welcoming manner when dealing with colleagues and visitors
