Duties of a Workshop Contoller:
  • Manage and organise all aspects of the bodyshop operations, including workflow and job prioritisation
  • Conduct daily engagement meetings with technicians and support staff to monitor progress
  • Oversee the maintenance of tools, equipment, and workshop health and safety standards
  • Ensure all repair jobs are completed to set quality standards and in accordance with client expectations
  • Manage waste disposal, utilities, and workshop security efficiently
  • Coordinate between technicians, management, and customers to communicate progress and resolve issues
  • Support the team to uphold technical quality and deliver excellent customer service
  • Oversee stock control, documentation, and accurate completion of job cards
Requirements of a Workshop Contoller:
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ATA, or equivalent recognised qualification in vehicle body repairs
  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller, Workshop Supervisor, or similar role within the automotive repair industry
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple repairs simultaneously
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair processes, quality standards, and workshop management systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to motivate and lead a team as a Workshop Contoller
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
