Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £16 - £18.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Fitters to join our clients  team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and preparation of used and new plant machinery, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures, quality requirements, budgets, and health and safety regulations.

Key Performance Indicators

• Complete workshop jobs within agreed timescales.
• Achieve workshop jobs within allocated budget hours.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, servicing, and overhauls on used plant machinery.
• Prepare used and new machinery for sale in accordance with approved specifications.
• Undertake mechanical work on new-build machines.
• Accurately document and report all maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
• Requisition parts within approved budgets as required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Workshop Fitter, Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with plant machinery or heavy equipment.
• Ability to work from job instructions and technical specifications.

Authority

• Authorised to requisition parts within agreed and approved budgets.
