Yard Operative

Location: HU15 area
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 5:45pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting a Yard Operative to join a busy and well-established operation in the HU15 area. This is a hands-on role offering a consistent 4-day working week and immediate starts for the right candidate.

The main purpose of this role is to support the smooth running of the yard by ensuring all equipment and units are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Jet washing industrial units, cabins, and equipment to a high standard
• Ensuring all units are clean, presentable, and ready for dispatch or use
• Maintaining tidiness and organisation of the yard at all times
• Moving equipment and materials safely around the site
• Assisting with general yard duties as required
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
• Working as part of a team to ensure deadlines and standards are met

• Experience in a yard, industrial, or outdoor hands-on role (preferred but not essential)
• A strong work ethic and willingness to carry out physically demanding tasks
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good attention to detail, ensuring high standards of cleanliness
• Reliability and a proactive attitude
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Competitive hourly rate of £12.71 per hour
• 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)
