Year 1/2 Teacher

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Handsworth, Birmingham, with an immediate start available.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to join a nurturing school environment where staff are committed to providing high-quality education and helping every child achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a mixed Year 1/2 class and will be supported by an experienced leadership team and classroom support staff.

The Role:

Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 1/2 class
Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment
Supporting pupils academic, social, and emotional development
Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Have strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
Be passionate about inspiring and motivating young learners
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be nurturing, adaptable, and committed to raising standards
Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Requirements to Work with Prospero Teaching:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold a valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
Provide two professional references covering the last two years
