Vocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive 3-form entry primary school in Redbridge to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

This exciting opportunity is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to begin or continue their teaching career within a supportive and well-established school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire pupils and support strong academic and personal development during this important stage of learning.

Key Responsibilities for the Year 1 Teacher role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the year group
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

Requirements for the Year 1 Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within KS1 (preferred but not essential)
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
