Year 2 Class Teacher – Temporary Cover (Until March 2027)

Zest Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in NW4 to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to provide full-time maternity cover until March 2027.

The Role:

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will take on full class responsibilities, including:

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments
• Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress
• Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
• Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Working collaboratively with year group partners and support staff
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and assessment practice
• Is organised, reflective and committed to high standards
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
• Is enthusiastic about contributing to school life
