Immediate Requirement 

Astro Education is working with Knutton St Mary's C of E Academy in Newcastle-under-Lyme that is looking to appoint a Year 5 Teacher for a full-time role start May 5th (Or May Half Term) until July. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a consistent, full-time position within a supportive school environment, with potential to extend or lead to future opportunities.

The Role

You will be responsible for teaching a Year 5 class, including:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

• Creating a positive and structured classroom environment

• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching where required

• Working closely with colleagues and support staff

• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learning

Who We’re Looking For

• Experienced Primary Teachers

• Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching within KS2 (Year 5 experience desirable)

• Strong classroom management skills

• A positive, proactive and reliable approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
