Year 5 Teacher & PPA Cover Teacher (5 Days per Week) – Streatham

Location: Streatham, South London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: MPS 1 - MPS 4 (£206 - £237 per day)

A friendly and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Streatham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join their team from September. This is an exciting full-time opportunity combining three days teaching a Year 5 class and two days providing PPA cover across the school.

Working through our agency, you will join a supportive school community with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, high expectations, and a broad, engaging curriculum.

The Role: This varied and rewarding position will involve:
  • Teaching a Year 5 class for three days each week, planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
  • Providing high-quality PPA cover for two days each week across different year groups.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for all pupils.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a teacher who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally including Year 5.
  • Can adapt confidently to teaching across a range of primary year groups.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and high expectations.
  • Is creative, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment practices.
