A friendly and welcoming one-form entry primary school in Streatham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join their team from September. This is an exciting full-time opportunity combining three days teaching a Year 5 class and two days providing PPA cover across the school.
Working through our agency, you will join a supportive school community with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, high expectations, and a broad, engaging curriculum.
The Role: This varied and rewarding position will involve:
- Teaching a Year 5 class for three days each week, planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
- Providing high-quality PPA cover for two days each week across different year groups.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress.
- Working collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure excellent outcomes for all pupils.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally including Year 5.
- Can adapt confidently to teaching across a range of primary year groups.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and high expectations.
- Is creative, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching.
- Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
- Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment practices.
