A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in the heart of Southwark from September 2026.

This is a well-established, Good Ofsted-rated school with a reputation for providing a caring and ambitious learning environment. Staff are passionate about helping pupils achieve their best, while fostering creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that prepares pupils for the challenges of upper Key Stage 2. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire curiosity, encourage resilience, and maintain high expectations for all learners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate pupils.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Using assessment effectively to inform teaching and accelerate progress.
• Creating a positive classroom culture where every child feels valued and supported.
• Working closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school improvement.

• Hold or are working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
