ANZUK Education is working with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Greenwich seeking a Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term position offers full class teaching responsibilities for the academic year, providing the opportunity to lead a Year 6 class through this important stage of their primary education.

The school is known for its supportive leadership team, strong focus on pupil achievement and collaborative staff culture, creating an environment where teachers are empowered to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.

This Year 6 Teacher role in Greenwich would suit experienced Primary Teachers or confident practitioners with Upper Key Stage 2 experience who are passionate about preparing pupils for a successful transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities of Year 6 Teacher:

Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 pupils.

Take full responsibility for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.

Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum.

Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.

Contribute to wider school responsibilities including staff meetings, parent consultations and school events.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).

Have experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and end-of-Key Stage 2 expectations.

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment and behaviour.

Be confident using assessment data to inform planning and accelerate pupil progress.

Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff, pupils and families.
