Humly are recruiting for a proactive and reliable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to work full-time at a local primary school from September 2026.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting pupils in upper KS2 and wants a consistent school-based role. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support learning, routines, pupil confidence and engagement throughout the school day.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be supporting a Year 6 class with:

  • General classroom learning and pupil engagement
  • Small-group and individual support
  • Literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
  • SATs preparation and revision support where needed
  • Classroom routines and positive behaviour
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence and readiness for secondary school
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…

  • Have experience as a Teaching Assistant or classroom support assistant
  • Are confident supporting pupils in KS2
  • Enjoy working with older primary pupils
  • Are proactive, organised and reliable
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Are comfortable supporting individuals, small groups and the wider class
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
  • Are willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
