We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to lead a supported housing service for young people in Bridgend.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team delivering high-quality support to young people aged 16 onwards facing homelessness, housing instability, and other complex challenges. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and trauma-informed practice, empowering both staff and young people to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of support staff.
- Ensure that the teams caseload is managed correctly.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support services.
- Monitor service performance against contractual and organisational objectives.
- Manage budgets, resources, and compliance requirements effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, partner agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments and risk management procedures including safety planning are put in place, and that safeguarding concerns and referrals are acted on appropriately and swiftly, including MARAC, MAPPA, child and adult safeguarding processes.
- Promote safeguarding, health and safety, and best practice across the service.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation to enhance service delivery.’
- Ensure all colleagues work closely with local agencies including colleges, training providers, YOT / Probation, Social Services, Police and sector partners.
- Participate in an on-call service across Bridgend and the Vale.
About You
You will be an experienced manager with a strong understanding of housing, homelessness, or support services for vulnerable young people. You will be a confident leader, capable of managing change, building partnerships, and creating a positive and supportive culture for both staff and service users.
Essential Requirements
- Experience managing teams within housing, support, social care, or related services.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and support planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience managing budgets and service performance.
- Experience of working with the focus on PIE practice.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
