A friendly school in Reading are looking to add a Youth Mental Health Support assistant to their team starting as soon as possible.
If you are a psychology graduate, or have a background in education, sports, art or drama, then this is the kind of role that you will succeed in!
Your duties as a Youth Mental Health Support assistant:
- Support the students with their needs in the classroom
- Help them find healthy and positive ways to cope with their emotions
- Teach them ways to regulate their emotions
- Help them reach their academic and personal goals
- De-escalate any behaviour and redirect their attention
- Facilitate and help deliver any interventions designed to help the students flourish
- Support the students during their work day
The successful Youth Mental Health Support assistant:

- Takes initiative and is proactive
- Understands the importance of safeguarding
