About the Role
Our client, a high-performing and ambitious secondary school in West London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding 2iC of Mathematics to join their successful and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven mathematics specialist to play a key leadership role in shaping the curriculum and driving exceptional outcomes for students up to Key Stage 5.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Department in leading and developing the Mathematics faculty

  • Take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across KS3–KS5

  • Lead on curriculum planning, assessment, and data analysis to raise student attainment

  • Mentor and support teaching staff, including ECTs and trainees

  • Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies and initiatives

  • Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and academic excellence

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics

  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to KS5

  • Demonstrable leadership experience within a school setting (e.g. Key Stage Lead, Second in Department)

  • A track record of improving student outcomes

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for education and commitment to student success
