We are working in partnership with a fast-growing independent insurance brokerage to recruit an experienced Account Director for their Leeds office.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a senior commercial insurance professional who thrives on building strategic client relationships, driving growth, and having real influence within a scaling business.

The Role
As an Account Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key commercial clients while also playing a pivotal role in generating new business. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering bespoke insurance strategies and leading from the front in terms of revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
   •   Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-to-large commercial clients
   •   Drive new business activity and contribute to overall growth strategy
   •   Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships at senior levels
   •   Lead complex negotiations with insurers to secure optimal terms
   •   Provide strategic advice across a broad range of commercial insurance solutions
   •   Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional service delivery

Candidate Profile
   •   Significant experience in commercial insurance broking at a senior level
   •   Strong track record of winning and retaining business
   •   Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
   •   Commercially astute with a strategic mindset
   •   Cert CII/Dip CII (or equivalent) preferred
