Accounts & Business Advisory Manager

You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of accounts, guiding junior team members, and providing valuable commercial advice to help businesses grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact
- Leading the preparation and review of year-end accounts and financial statements
- Delivering insightful financial advice, including cashflow forecasting and performance analysis
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
- Managing workflow, deadlines, and team capacity to ensure timely delivery
- Coaching and developing junior team members
- Monitoring WIP and billing to support commercial performance
- Driving improvements in processes, systems, and efficiencies
Core Skills & Experience
- Strong background in accounts preparation and business advisory
- Proven experience managing client relationships independently
- Ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful commercial insights
- Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated accounts
- Strong understanding of cashflow forecasting and financial projections
- Knowledge of working capital analysis and key ratios
- Awareness of VAT treatments, including partial exemption and reverse charge
- Ability to identify accounting issues and recommend solutions
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualified, or qualified by experience
