Adult Social Care Occupational Therapist

Contract: Full-time | Initial 3–6 months with potential for extension
Redbridge Council is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well structured team.This team supports the recently implemented Discharge to Assess model.
The client offers flexible working, a fair caseload, and professional development. This role is ideal for candidates seeking impact-driven work in adult social care and reablement services.
Main Duties:
- Conduct home assessments across South Oxfordshire – own transport required
- Carry out bedside assessments in hospital settings
- Promote independence and support people on their reablement journey
- Complete Care Act assessments
- Assess individuals and carers with complex needs in the home environment
- Recommend and coordinate equipment and adaptations
- Undertake manual handling assessments
- Work in line with safeguarding procedures, promoting dignity and respect
- Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience
- Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist
- Experience with major adaptations and reablement pathways
- Manual handling expertise
- HCPC Registration
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Must have own vehicle and full UK driving licence
- Competitive pay up to £39 per hour (UMB)
- Hybrid working – occasional office visits only
