We’re recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on delivering high-quality project solutions and winning new business through effective tendering.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the commercial side of engineering and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing project opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender submission and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting high-quality technical proposals
- Managing and tracking project opportunities through internal systems
- Building long-term relationships with contractors and clients
- Identifying new project opportunities and contributing to pipeline growth
- Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle, from tender to completion
- Monitoring forecasts and prioritising high-value opportunities
- Experience in an Applications Engineer or similar technical role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts
- Commercial awareness with a proactive, results-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Competitive salary (£30,000–£40,000 depending on experience)
