Humly is working closely with a well-established and inclusive secondary academy located in Waterlooville, Hampshire, serving students aged 11–16. The Role:

Do you have a talent for inspiring creativity and helping young people develop confidence through artistic expression? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join a supportive secondary school environment and engage students through a variety of artistic techniques, media, and creative projects.

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Mark and assess student progress in line with curriculum expectations.

  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and the development of practical artistic skills.

  • Support students in exploring a range of artistic styles, techniques, and materials.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Art and Creative Arts department.

  • Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school enrichment activities.

  • Uphold school values and create a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – ECTs are welcome to apply.

  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level.

  • At least 6 months' UK teaching experience.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • A creative, enthusiastic, and approachable teaching style.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for developing students' artistic abilities and creative confidence.
