A fast-paced, high-volume business is looking for a driven Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure across finance, with a clear progression path for someone committed to completing their ACCA qualification.

Description

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure optimal financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide support during audits and assist in preparing necessary documentation.

Profile

Requirement:

• Actively studying ACCA (essential)
• Strong debits & credits understanding
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (e.g. construction, projects, engineering)
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Experience in financial reporting and management accounts preparation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• A solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
