Salary: £34,000 – £36,000 + Car Allowance

Hours: Mon-Fri | 8am – 5pm
Location: Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop (SO20 8DY)

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the operational delivery of Hard FM services at the Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop.

Working closely with the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day delivery of engineering and maintenance activities across the site, helping ensure high standards of service performance, compliance, and operational delivery. A key aspect of the role will involve coordinating the PPM programme through the CAFM system, managing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks in line with contractual SLAs and KPIs.

The position will also involve regular interaction with subcontractors, engineers, and operational teams, alongside supporting reporting, raising purchase orders and billable works, and assisting with health & safety compliance across the airbase. Due to the operational nature of the site, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving, as contractor escort duties will form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services across site
  • Coordinate and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Use Maximo CAFM (or similar systems) to log, track, and manage PPMs and reactive tasks
  • Liaise daily with subcontractors, engineers, and operational teams
  • Raise purchase orders, quotations, and support billable works administration
  • Produce reports demonstrating compliance against contractual SLA and KPI targets
  • Assist with operational administration and service performance monitoring

Candidate Requirements:

  • Understanding of PPM coordination and maintenance planning
  • Proven contract or subcontractor management exposure
  • Experience using CAFM systems such as Maximo would be advantageous
  • Strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel, and basic data reporting
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Eagerness to develop within a Facilities Management career pathway
  • Full UK driving licence and confidence driving on operational sites
