A well-established Alternative Provision in Tameside is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to support pupils across Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and behavioural challenges re-engage with education and develop positive outcomes.
The provision supports pupils who have struggled within mainstream education and provides a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and a focus on individual progress.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and engagement with learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and pastoral support
* Support students with challenging behaviour and emotional dysregulation
* Help develop positive coping strategies and behaviour routines
* Encourage engagement with learning and structured activities
* Implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies
* Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
* Contribute to behaviour plans and monitor student progress
