About the Role

This is a leadership role created to elevate Made For Trade and Korniche’s brand, marketing, and communications to the next level.

Reporting to the Commercial & Operations Director, the Head of Brand, Marketing & Communications will sit within the senior management team and work closely with Directors and Heads of Department. The role will set a clear vision, embed data-driven decision-making, and align both internal and external communications with our ambitious growth plans.

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded leader with a strong track record in brand transformation,

customer engagement, and marketing within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Experience within the built environment, construction, or related technical sectors for both B2B and B2C will be particularly valuable.

The postholder will support the marketing department, introduce professional reporting and accountability, and deliver a unified voice for both our trade and consumer brands. This is a pivotal position in shaping how we are perceived externally and how we engage our people internally.

Purpose

To lead the development and implementation of a senior management-led brand, marketing, and communications strategy for Made For Trade and Korniche, covering external marketing, PR, and internal engagement.

This role will provide strategic direction, governance, and measurement of all brand and communications activity, ensuring alignment to business priorities and growth ambitions.

The Head of Brand, Marketing & Communications will build on best practice gained from previous experience in other senior roles, supporting and developing MFT’s marketing department, introducing best-practice processes, and creating a high-performing, insight-led function.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Audit existing marketing and communications activity and build a roadmap to deliver measurable ROI.

Establish reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making processes.

Develop unified external communications strategy for MFT (trade) and Korniche (consumer).

Present strategic communications plans and insights directly to Directors and SLT.

Internal Communications & Culture

Partner with the Head of People & Culture to deliver a business-wide internal comms plan.

Work with Head of People and Culture to develop regular content for engaging staff around company goals, behaviours and updates 

Embed clear narratives that align and immerse people in brand vision, service standards, and cultural expectations.

Brand, PR & Creative Development

Define and clarify the brand vision and positioning for MFT, Korniche Trade and Korniche Consumer.

Develop brand guidelines covering tone, messaging, imagery, and visual identity.

Oversee creative direction of marketing and PR campaigns, ensuring design, content, and messaging are consistent and high-impact.

Implement a structured campaign planning and sign-off process to ensure activity is aligned to strategy, brand and ROI.

Introduce clear strategies and plans for individual channels, product launches, territories, and shows.

Trade Shows & Exhibitions

Take ownership of the planning, management, and delivery of MFT and Korniche’s presence at key trade shows and exhibitions, including FIT Show, Glazing Summit, and other sector-relevant events.

Develop a structured annual events calendar aligned to commercial priorities, new product launches, and target audience segments across trade and consumer channels.

Lead cross-functional show teams, coordinating with Commercial, Operations, and Engineering to ensure stand design, product showcasing, and messaging are consistent, compelling, and on-brand.

Define clear objectives, audience targets, and ROI measures for each event, with post-show reporting and lead follow-up processes embedded as standard practice.

Manage exhibition budgets effectively, negotiating with suppliers and stand contractors to maximise impact and value.

Represent MFT and Korniche as a credible, visible brand ambassador at industry events, building relationships with key customers, partners, and media.

Leadership & Development

Provide senior leadership to the marketing department, ensuring delivery against agreed strategy.

Build capability in campaign planning, budgeting, targeting, and reporting.

Introduce best-practice ways of working and collaborative planning processes.

Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and innovation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, IT, Engineering and senior leaders.

Influence and present at board level, aligning communications to commercial objectives.

Skills & Experience (Essential)

Senior leadership experience in brand, marketing, communications or PR for both B2B and B2C audiences

Proven track record of transforming and professionalising underperforming functions.

Strong data and analytics expertise, building KPIs, dashboards and ROI reporting.

Experience of membership, customer engagement, or retention campaigns.

Experience of internal communications, employee engagement and cultural change programmes.

Proven ability to work with and influence senior management and leadership teams.

Strong background in brand development, proposition design, and structured go-to-market planning.

Experience of managing appropriate budgets and leading multi-level teams.

Sector experience in construction, building products, or fenestration (desirable).
