Our client is a growing and ambitious Mechanical, Electrical & Hard FM contractor delivering maintenance, compliance and building services solutions across the Education, Healthcare and Commercial sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint 3 experienced Business Development Managers to drive new business opportunities and support their expansion plans.
The Role
This is a true business development position focused on identifying, developing and securing new opportunities across Hard FM, Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance and Building Services.
You will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with key decision makers, preparing proposals and ultimately winning profitable contracts.
This is not a role for someone who simply attends meetings – we are looking for a proven hunter who can create opportunities and convert them into long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across Education, NHS and Commercial sectors
- Generate and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Prepare proposals and cost small-value maintenance contracts
- Present solutions and negotiate commercial agreements
- Attend client meetings and networking events
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project handovers
- Drive revenue growth and secure new contracts
Requirements
- Proven experience in Business Development within Hard FM, Facilities Management or Building Services
- Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance services
- Experience selling into Education, Healthcare (NHS) or Commercial sectors
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, resilient and commercially aware
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract award
