An established and growing packaging manufacturer is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the UK market may that be nationally or regionally targeting particular markets such as: Animal Feed, Aggregates, Horticulture.
Specialising in innovative protective and flexible packaging solutions, the business supplies a wide range of industrial sectors with high-quality packaging products and tailored customer solutions. π The Role
This is a field-based sales position focused on driving new business opportunities, developing existing customer relationships, and identifying long-term growth across industrial and manufacturing markets throughout the UK.
You will manage your own territory autonomously, delivering consultative and solution-led sales support while acting as a key commercial representative for the business.
πΌ Key Responsibilities
β’ Drive new business development and revenue growth across the UK
β’ Identify, target, and secure new customers through proactive field sales activity
β’ Manage and grow existing customer relationships and accounts
β’ Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and product discussions
β’ Deliver tailored packaging solutions aligned to customer requirements
β’ Manage pricing discussions, quotations, negotiations, and sales pipelines
β’ Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reporting
β’ Represent the business at industry exhibitions and networking events
β’ Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery
π€ About You
β’ Proven B2B sales experience within packaging, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
β’ Strong track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets
β’ Experience managing a field-based sales territory independently
β’ Commercially aware with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
β’ Technically minded with the ability to understand customer requirements and production processes
β’ Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously
β’ Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
β’ Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK
Packaging industry experience would be highly advantageous, particularly within flexible or protective packaging solutions.
