An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join a global engineering business supporting complex engineering and fabrication projects across an international supplier network.

The role is focused on sourcing bespoke engineered items and large-scale fabricated packages rather than standard off-the-shelf products. Working closely with engineering teams and project managers, you will manage procurement activities to ensure technical, quality and delivery requirements are achieved in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing RFQs and supplier quotations
• Coordinating supplier engagement and negotiations
• Raising and expediting purchase orders
• Sourcing engineering materials, fabricated components and specialist services
• Monitoring supplier performance, delivery and quality standards
• Resolving supplier, quality and invoice related issues
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and systems
• Supporting project delivery through proactive supplier management

The successful candidate will ideally have experience operating within an engineering, fabrication or project-driven environment where procurement plays a key role in successful delivery. Experience sourcing bespoke or technically engineered products would be highly advantageous.

CIPS qualification or equivalent procurement experience within manufacturing, engineering or technical environments would also be beneficial.
