A leading Data Centre IT and Design Consultancy Specialist is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This fully remote opportunity offers a competitive package and the chance to work on cutting-edge data centre and workplace projects across the UK and Europe.
Role Overview:
In this role, the individual will be instrumental in producing detailed 2D CAD drawings and planning designs for various cutting-edge technology projects, particularly in the Data Centre and Workplace sectors. They will collaborate closely with the design team to ensure every drawing meets high standards and exceeds client expectations.
The individual will also play a key role in shaping the future of the evolving BIM/CAD team, contributing to the refinement of CAD standards and work practices.
This is an opportunity to work independently while being part of a strong, collaborative team, with potential exposure to Revit and opportunities for further career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and planning designs for daily project needs
- Collaborate within a team and operate independently when required
- Contribute to enhancing CAD standards and streamlining processes for greater efficiency
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- ICT or MEP project experience is required, and infrastructure experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Data Centre and Workplace projects is an advantage
