Children's Home Team Leader/Support Worker

Pay: £13.50-£16.50 per hour (depending on experience) plus sleep ins ££

EXPERIENCE in Children's Residential Care IS ESSENTIAL

We are a 5 bed (EBD) Children’s Residential Home registered with Ofsted. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join our team who have the passion, drive and enthusiasm needed to provide outstanding care to our Children.

Hours of work are an average of 40 hours per week, rota based, to meet the needs of the home.

Duties

  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Engage with children in a positive manner, promoting their social and emotional development through play and educational activities.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
  • Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence
  • Must already be authorised to work in the UK at the time of application to be considered
  • Experience in working with looked after children, in a residential children’s home aged 8–18 is essential
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
  • Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for transportation purposes.
  • Familiarity with developing and following care plans is advantageous.
  • IT proficiency for maintaining records and facilitating communication within the team.
  • This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, particularly children, by providing essential support and care.
