Home: Brand-new 4-bed children's residential home supporting children and young people aged 7–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum with Ofsted related bonus

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a residential care setting within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year's experience in a senior or leadership position within residential childcare
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures
- Experience developing and implementing care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams
- Experience working effectively with external agencies and stakeholders
- Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Children Act 1989 & 2004, and Care Standards Act 2000
- Knowledge of attachment theory, child development, trauma-informed practice, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
- Strong organisational, communication, and budget management skills
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home
- Ensure the home consistently delivers outstanding standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance
- Lead, supervise, and develop a high-performing care team
- Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive
- Oversee care planning, risk management, and the delivery of individualised support
- Promote positive outcomes, emotional development, and stability for children and young people
- Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, professionals, families, and external agencies
- Monitor and continuously improve the quality of care and service delivery
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively to ensure operational success
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections, driving the home towards positive outcomes
- Ensure all safeguarding concerns are appropriately managed and reported in line with legislation and best practice
