As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating and, where applicable, programming CNC lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, optimising production, and supporting an efficient workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
- Program or edit CNC programs (depending on experience)
- Work from technical drawings to tight tolerances
- Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency
- Assist with routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe working environment
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter, operator or programmer)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience setting tooling, offsets, and making program edits
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Multi-axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential
