About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Commercial & Pricing Analyst to partner closely with our Sales Director and play a key role in shaping our pricing strategy. This isn’t a passive reporting role — you’ll be the person who turns complex market data into clear commercial actions, identifies revenue leakage, and drives improvements in Gross Margin across our B2B cable product portfolio.

Pricing Strategy & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support competitiveness and profitability.
  • Analyse pricing data, customer behaviour and market trends to recommend pricing adjustments.
  • Conduct margin analysis and support pricing for bids, tenders and key accounts.
  • Monitor competitor pricing within the UK cable sector.

Commercial Insight & Business Partnering

  • Provide data‑driven insights to support sales and commercial strategy.
  • Evaluate customer performance, contract profitability and deal structures.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial optimisation across product lines.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales and Marketing to support forecasting and business planning.

Reporting & Dashboarding

  • Build and maintain dashboards using Excel, SQL, HubSpot and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Track KPIs and deliver regular performance updates to leadership.
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis for strategic projects and pricing reviews.

Process Improvement

  • Improve pricing processes, workflows and data integrity.
  • Support system upgrades or implementations related to pricing or CRM.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing and sales data.

Teamwork & Compliance

  • Work collaboratively with sales, finance and wider teams.
  • Support new team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain accurate H&S administrative records and support compliance reporting.

Essential Experience

  • 3+ years in a commercial, pricing or revenue management role (distribution/manufacturing/utilities ideal).
  • Strong financial acumen — forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling.
  • Proven stakeholder management and business partnering experience.
  • Experience working with complex pricing models and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Understanding of commodity‑based pricing and B2B cost‑plus/value‑based strategies.
