Roles & Responsibilities
  • Full mechanical estimating responsibility from tender enquiry through to final submission
  • Reviewing and analysing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
  • Carrying out detailed take-offs for mechanical building services packages
  • Preparing subcontractor and supplier enquiry packages
  • Obtaining and evaluating competitive subcontractor quotations
  • Producing accurate Tender Cost Reports and pricing documentation
  • Conducting site surveys and attending tender meetings where required
  • Producing value engineering proposals and cost-saving solutions
  • Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines
  • Supporting project and contract management teams throughout project lifecycle
  • Attending post-tender and client meetings as required
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services Estimating
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems and installation processes
  • Experience pricing projects ranging from approximately £100K to £5M
  • Ability to work independently and manage full tender lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of estimating software packages
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to commute to Croydon office regularly
