Commercial Finance Analyst

We are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join a high-performing finance team. This is a key role focused on driving commercial insight, improving profitability, and supporting better decision-making.

You will play a central part in analysing sales performance, margin, cost drivers, and profitability, while partnering closely with key stakeholders to deliver value-adding insight and support commercial strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong analytical skills with real commercial impact.

• Analyse sales, margin, cost of goods, inventory, and outbound performance providing clear reporting and commentary
• Review customer rebates and pricing, highlighting variances, trends, and exceptions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, contribution analysis, and modelling to support commercial decisions
• Assist with tender evaluations and commercial proposals, including pricing and profitability assessments
• Proactively track actions arising from commercial insight to ensure risks are managed and opportunities delivered
• Identify and escalate commercial and financial risks, supporting mitigation actions
• Support product costing accuracy, including overheads, cost absorption, and data integrity
• Partner with commercial leaders on pricing discipline, customer profitability, and sales performance analysis
• Continuously improve reporting efficiency, insight quality, and financial processes
• Support ad hoc analysis, projects, and wider business initiatives

• Part or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA
• Advanced Excel skills (essential)
• Experience with tools such as Power BI or Copilot is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical mindset
• Confident communicator, able to tailor messaging to different audiences
• Proactive, curious, and keen to challenge and improve ways of working
