An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded and analytically focused Management Accountant to join the corporate finance division of a well-established international organisation.

This position would suit a candidate with strong business partnering and financial analysis experience, rather than someone whose background has been focused solely on transactional finance, financial accounting, or bookkeeping. The successful individual will play a key role in supporting business performance through detailed analysis of financial data, margin performance, profitability trends, and strategic forecasting.

The organisation continues to experience significant growth across European markets and is seeking an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and supporting operational decision-making through meaningful financial insight.

The Role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial and commercial analysis to support senior stakeholders across the business. The role requires strong analytical capability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret financial information in a way that supports business growth and performance improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments, providing insight into financial performance, profitability drivers, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyse financial performance and provide detailed commentary on variances
  • Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Monitor margins, profitability, and key business trends
  • Deliver meaningful financial insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting and performance analysis
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Track actual performance against forecasts and investigate discrepancies
  • Support long-term financial planning and scenario modelling
  • Provide recommendations to improve commercial performance
Commercial & Profitability Analysis
  • Conduct in-depth margin and ratio analysis
  • Support pricing and profitability initiatives
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Monitor departmental spending against budgets
Business Partnering
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams and department managers
  • Translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders
  • Support commercial decision-making with data-driven analysis
Controls & Process Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Assist with process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across finance operations
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset combined with commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge and interpret financial performance beyond standard accounting processes.
Applicants with experience focused primarily on transactional finance, bookkeeping, or pure financial accounting/reporting without commercial analysis exposure are unlikely to be suitable for this role.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience within Management Accounting or commercial finance analysis
  • Strong experience analysing financial statements, margins, and financial ratios
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP/financial systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and problem-solving approach
  • Experience producing detailed financial and business performance reports
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Experience within a multinational or corporate environment would be advantageous
